In the winter of 2021/22, Jonathan Lucas Hauser began composing a piano piece entitled Leb Wohl (Farewell). In response to the escalating invasion of Ukraine, he dedicated the piece to the many families and couples experiencing their relationships being torn apart by the war. This marked the beginning of a collaborative video project with a photographer, documenting the tragic effects of war on the local population. As part of this project, Hauser travelled several times with a humanitarian organisation to Lviv to meet and listen to those affected.
