Jonathan Lucas Hauser

Austrian pianist and composer Jonathan Hauser discovered music as a means of expression and connection from an early age. Through making music with family and friends, he quickly realized that music has the power to bring people together. He began composing at a young age—not only as a creative pursuit but also as a personal tool for reflection and processing experiences.

His musical journey has been shaped by a diverse education, spanning classical, jazz, blues, gospel, and modern music. Surrounded by musicians and mentors, he developed a unique style that blends structured precision with deep emotional expression. In parallel, he pursued his passion for engineering, studying at the University of Salzburg and the Technical University of Munich.

Beyond his music, Hauser is deeply committed to humanitarian work. His travels have taken him across Asia and repeatedly to Ukraine, where he has engaged with people in crisis and supported relief efforts. These experiences have profoundly influenced his artistic vision.

In the winter of 2021/22, he began composing “Leb Wohl”, a piano piece that captures the emotional rupture of families and relationships due to the war in Ukraine. Inspired by his time on the ground, he collaborated with photographer Joel Carrilet to create a visual project documenting the war’s devastating impact.

Today, Jonathan Hauser intertwines lived experiences with artistic vision, crafting emotional soundscapes on the piano that tell profound human stories.

Trained in classical piano from an early age and shaped by years of study, teaching, and public performance, he is now stepping into his role as a concert pianist. His music reflects not only technical skill, but also a deep emotional sensitivity and a strong personal connection to the instrument.
